All psychotherapists and counsellors listed on this site are known to have completed their studies with reputable schools/institutions prior to being accepted as Members of NRPC. They are subject to strict conditions of membership and in accordance with industry standards, they are committed to ongoing continuous professional development and must hold professional indemnity insurance where possible (in some countries other than UK, such insurance is not available).

For your own benefit, your most successful outcome is enhanced when you relate well with your therapist. As some therapists have more qualifications or experience than others, it is in your best interest to make a quick call to ensure that you feel comfortable working with a particular person.
Fees
All therapists run their own business and set their own fee levels, based on their level of qualification, geographical area and work environment. It is therefore impossible to state fees here. However the general range of fee is around £40-£90 in the UK for a therapy session. Many therapists also offer consessions.
Member Designations
You will see that each member has a set of letters after their name and they will include one of these three:
- ANRPC: These are affiliate members. Their training will have been extremely comprehensive though they may as yet not have as much experience as the other designations. They can work effectively with the vast majority of issues and will advise if they feel you need a higher level of expertise.
- LNRPC: This designation shows a Licentiate Member. These members will have been trained to a level 4 or higher, in a recognised professional training therapy school. They have trained over 450 hours or more, and have done a placement with supervised hours in order to become qualified.
- MNRPC: This designation shows a Registered Member. These members have shown at least 3 years of clinical practice and membership with us, have continually been insured, supervised and completed their CPD hour requirement. They will have more clinical practice experience.
- MNRPC (acc.): Accredited Members will have received more specialist training than the other grades and may also have more experience. They will have been with us for 5 years or more, and have continually been insured, supervised and completed their CPD hour requirement.
